INSPIRING THE FUTURE PHARMACY is the result of a project initiated by Banca IFIS in collaboration with Credifarma dedicated to pharmacists. Through the use of Design Thinking and starting from focus groups with this category, design concepts for the pharmacy of the future were formulated, developed by two design teams from La Sapienza University in Rome, coordinated by Professors Carlo Martino and Monica A.G. Scanu, and from the Politecnico di Milano, coordinated by Professors Stefano Maffei and Francesca Foglieni.
The project aims to imagine the pharmacy of the future and support pharmacists in a development process that combines consulting, specialisation and digitalisation. The goal is to support the sector in its evolution, making it increasingly competitive and cutting-edge.
The e-book, which summarises the main results of the project, is divided into two parts. The first consists of a number of critical texts: in addition to contributions by Stefano Maffei and Francesca Foglieni for POLI.design, Politecnico di Milano, there are those by Carmelo Carbotti, Head of the Research Department at Banca IFIS, Stefano Micelli, Professor of International Management, Ca’ Foscari University, Venice, Carlo Martino, Professor of Industrial Design at Sapienza University of Rome, and Monica A.G. Scanu, Director of the European Institute of Design, Cagliari. The second part contains nine project proposals developed by two groups of designers affiliated with Sapienza University of Rome and Milan Polytechnic.
